Amex Platinum Offers — June 5, 2026

Amex Platinum Offers — June 5, 2026

Two new entries today: Frequent Miler published its first standalone write-up on the Virgin Atlantic Amex Offer, confirming that award flight taxes/fees count toward the $2,000 threshold — a family of three on a NYC→London Upper Class one-way could hit $2,000 in fees alone. Aldi 15% back (max $6, Jun 14) surfaced via Danny the Deal Guru, but the DDG screenshot shows a May 24 expiry, flagging this as likely recycled. U.S. Open event is 6 days away. Full tracker: 24 active offer rows across 22 merchants.

Friday, June 5. Two new entries hit the tracker today: Frequent Miler published its first dedicated article on the Virgin Atlantic Amex Offer — adding an award flight tax stacking angle worth knowing — and Danny the Deal Guru surfaced an Aldi 15% back offer with a very short window and a credibility caveat. The U.S. Open event is now 6 days away. Enroll before June 11 or the $10 credit won't trigger on-site.

Virgin Atlantic — FM publishes first dedicated write-up (NEW COVERAGE)

Virgin Atlantic (UK-based transatlantic airline) already appeared in yesterday's tracker as a confirmed multi-variant offer. Today, Frequent Miler published its first standalone article on the offer, written by Stephen Pepper — and it adds one stacking detail that wasn't in yesterday's coverage. 1
The offer itself is unchanged from what was confirmed June 4:
VariantMin spendStatement creditEffective returnExpiry
A$2,000$20010%Jul 31, 2026
B$2,000$25012.5%Jul 31, 2026
C$3,000$30010%Jul 31, 2026
What FM adds today — award flight tax stacking: The offer applies to taxes and fees on Virgin Atlantic award flights, provided the flight originates in the US. Pepper notes that taxes and fees for a NYC→London Upper Class award can run roughly $700 per person — a family of three on a one-way redemption would easily clear the $2,000 spend threshold on charges alone, without paying any base fare. 1
As Pepper wrote: "Provided you book your flight(s) by July 31, this Amex Offer is good for Virgin Atlantic flights through the end of their schedule." That means a flight departing in, say, November 2026 still qualifies — the booking date, not the travel date, governs. 1
Hard restrictions: flights must originate in the US, be booked directly at virginatlantic.com or the Virgin Atlantic mobile app, and be charged in USD. Ticket desk and call-center bookings are excluded, as are in-flight purchases, baggage fees, and meal charges. A flight originating in London back to New York does not trigger the credit. 1
FM's article covers only Variant B ($250 on $2,000). Variants A and C remain on the tracker from yesterday's confirmed reporting. All three expire Jul 31, 2026. 1

What to do: Check all Amex cards for any of the three variants. If you have a transatlantic Virgin Atlantic flight — paid or award — coming up before year-end and you're booking by July 30, this is worth adding before you buy tickets.

Aldi — 15% back up to $6 (NEW, with caveat)

Danny the Deal Guru reported a targeted Amex Offer for Aldi (US nationwide discount grocery chain, ~2,400 stores across 38 states) on June 5: 15% back as a one-time statement credit on a single purchase, maximum $6 credit, optimal spend roughly $40. 2

Credibility issue: The screenshot in DDG's article shows the offer expiry as May 24, 2026 — not June 14. That discrepancy suggests this is a recycled or reposted offer rather than a newly launched one. It's possible some cardholders are seeing a fresh instance with a June 14 expiry, while the screenshot captures an older card image. Treat this offer as unverified until you see a June 14 date in your own Amex account.

The DDG article screenshot displays a May 24, 2026 expiry date — inconsistent with the June 14 date stated in the article text. 2
If you see it in your account with a June 14 expiry: DDG recommends checking cards with grocery bonus categories first (Amex Blue Cash Preferred, Amex Gold). Some Aldi locations also sell third-party gift cards, which could extend the stacking potential. The $6 maximum is low; this is a grab-it-if-you-see-it offer rather than a must-hunt.

Watch list — what to monitor

FM Last Chance update — Frequent Miler's weekly Last Chance roundup is expected tomorrow, Saturday June 6. Anything expiring in the next 7–10 days should appear there. Check for any new entries not currently on this tracker.
Turo expiry — still no official expiry date from Amex or Turo. Doctor of Credit's sidebar continues to list the offer as active without a date. 4 Verify in your Amex app before booking. If the sidebar widget disappears, the offer has likely expired.
TravelUpdate $200 Amex Travel flight offer — Serper surfaced a June 4 TravelUpdate article headlined "New Amex Offer: $200 off on your next qualifying flight via Amex Travel," but the page is JavaScript-heavy and the full terms couldn't be retrieved. 5 This could be the most significant new signal in today's window. Check your Amex Offers directly for any Amex Travel flight credit — if present, the terms and POID will appear there.
7ForAllMankind POID replacement — The POID for 7ForAllMankind.com updated from K7YZ:0886 to K7YZ:1088 today on FM's Current Offers page. 3 Offer terms are unchanged (6% back, up to $250, online only, expires Jul 1). If you saved the old POID for reference, update it. No action needed if you've already enrolled — enrollment carries over through POID replacements.

What to do today

  1. U.S. Open — 6 days left to enroll. If you're attending Shinnecock Hills (Southampton, NY) June 11–21, open the Amex app now → "Offers for You" → search "U.S. Open." POID: KC93:0001. On-site charges won't retroactively credit if the offer wasn't pre-added.
  2. Virgin Atlantic — check for the award flight stack. If you have Virgin Atlantic award space in mind for a US-originating transatlantic flight, paying taxes and fees through virginatlantic.com or the app by July 30 could clear the $2,000 threshold for the $250 credit. Check all your Amex cards — different variants may appear on different accounts.
  3. Aldi — verify expiry in app before acting. If you shop at Aldi, open your Amex Offers and check whether the 15% offer is present and shows a June 14 expiry. If the date in your account says May 24, that offer has already expired and the DDG article is recycled. At $6 maximum, the upside is modest but the spend is also low.
  4. Check for the TravelUpdate $200 Amex Travel flight offer. The terms couldn't be pulled today. Open your Amex app → "Offers for You" and search "Travel." If a $200 flight credit appears, note the POID, minimum spend, and expiry before acting.
  5. Hotels.com — still stackable through June 30. The 10X MR offer on Hotels.com expires June 30. If your card carries both that and the 10% cash-back offer (expires Aug 31), a $1,000 prepaid booking through hotels.com/amex returns $100 + 10,000 MR on a single transaction. 6
